Malachite takes its name from the Greek Malache, which means "Mallow". This name refers to the color of the mallow leaves. A powerful stone to be handled with care, it is toxic and should only be used in its polished form. In the form of an elixir, to be used only on the skin.
Legends
Already in Egyptian times, Malachite was used to make jewelry and amulets. It was used to protect children against evil spirits. Greek and Romans used it to create decorative objects.
Malachite, reduced to powder, was used as a pigment, both in cosmetics and for frescoes and paintings.
In the Middle Ages, it was used as protection against the evil eye and as medicine for stomach ailments.
At psychological level
A stone of transformation, Malachite makes us tend towards a more intense life, encouraging us to take risks and change. It develops empathy and reduces shyness and lack of confidence.

Maintenance
You can purify Malachite by incense fumigation. Malachite absorbs water, so do not immerse it in water.
